The bike

A race machine that looks as good as it rides

Every detail on the Oiz exists to make you faster. Attack the climbs, stay off the brakes through the rough, and hold your line when the pace turns brutal. It is built for the intensity of World Cup cross-country — and it keeps delivering, race after race, season after season.

Sold and serviced in Singapore by CANNASIA, the official Orbea distributor. Ride it at Chestnut, Bukit Timah, Kent Ridge or Ketam — then bring it back to Frankel Avenue for a service by people who know the platform inside out.

The launch film

Meet the new Oiz

Three years of development, a completely new frame, and one obsession: make the fastest cross-country bike Orbea has ever built.

01 · True race performance

When the margins vanish, the Oiz delivers

Raise the pace and the gaps close to nothing. Added stiffness, a more capable suspension platform and refined geometry keep the Oiz responsive under power, precise at speed, and ready for the hardest cross-country courses in the world.

Orbea Oiz frame stiffness detail

+36% stiffer

Global frame stiffness, driven largely by improved torsional rigidity.

Stiffness, placed exactly where it earns you time

Thousands of hours of simulation, prototyping and testing produced a frame with stiffness engineered into the areas that matter. Global frame stiffness climbs by 36%, most of it torsional. On the tight, punchy circuits of modern XC racing that shows up as efficiency on brutal climbs, precision on technical descents, and instant response in a flat-out sprint.

Saving watts on the climbs

A stiffer frame transfers more of your effort into forward drive instead of losing it to flex.

Precision on the descents

At the limit, unwanted flex costs accuracy. Limiting how far the frame twists lets you hold your line and push harder.

Improved suspension action

Stiffer linkage and main pivot areas resist twisting under side load, so the rear suspension moves more smoothly — better sensitivity, better traction, more control.

Orbea Oiz forged alloy linkage

Forged alloy linkage

Finite Element Analysis stripped the forged alloy linkage back to essentials — less material, smaller overall dimensions. The compact shape resists flex by giving forces less leverage to work with, while internal cut-outs raise stiffness and cut weight by roughly 30%.

Orbea Oiz seatstay bridge

Seatstay bridge

Sitting ahead of the seat tube to maximise rear-end stiffness, the bridge locks the shock and rear triangle together. Alignment stays true, and the frame shrugs off side-loading under hard pedalling and heavy suspension forces.

Orbea Oiz winged top tube

Winged for stiffness

The winged top tube structure adds structural stiffness under real race loads. Less frame twist means pivots stay aligned and the suspension keeps working the way it was designed to.

Orbea Oiz rear triangle tube profiles

Rear triangle tube profiles

Chainstays and seatstays are shaped for maximum torsional stiffness without carrying extra grams, improving stability and tracking over roots and rock. A post-mount brake interface spreads braking loads more evenly through the rear end.

Orbea Oiz Powerspine bottom bracket area

Powerspine

From head tube to bottom bracket, the lower frame governs power transfer — never more than in a sprint. Stiffening this region returns some of the biggest gains on the whole bike.

Orbea Oiz climbing

Compacted carbon

Smoother frame shapes remove sharp transitions, letting the carbon compact more tightly and cutting excess epoxy. Epoxy adds weight but no stiffness — so removing it lifts the stiffness-to-weight ratio directly.

Race-tuned suspension

Suspension tuned for efficiency, traction and control at the moments that decide a race. Orbea worked with FOX from the earliest stage of the project: the shock tune on the new Oiz was developed specifically to hit their target performance curve and the exact ride feel they were chasing.

Travel

120 mm front and rear — the World Cup standard, and the natural choice for fast, demanding XC. Want something more capable? Specify a 130 mm fork through MyO.

Regressive kinematics

Winning demands efficiency and maximum climbing traction, even with the shock wide open. A regressive curve balances those two better than a conventional linear or progressive setup.

Orbea Oiz FOX suspension

Front and rear. Tuned with FOX from day one.

Suspension curve — firmer initial stroke

Firmer initial stroke

Extra support early in the travel keeps sag in check and limits bobbing with the suspension open, holding your geometry and riding position where they should be.

Suspension curve — supple mid-stroke

Supple mid-stroke

Deeper into the stroke, sensitivity rises to soak up hits and find traction — without letting go of control.

Suspension curve — bottom-out resistance

Bottom-out resistance

Natural ramp-up at the end of the stroke absorbs the big hits without harshness, and keeps hard bottom-outs at bay.

Suspension curve — anti-squat

Anti-squat

A high level of anti-squat resists pedalling forces early in the travel — where you spend most of a climb. The Oiz responds instantly and accelerates without hesitation.

Instant control

Suspension controls right under your fingertips.

Orbea patented i-Line internal routing

Patented i-Line tech

Orbea's patented i-Line suspension technology carves a perfectly straight internal path for the rear shock remote lockout. No cable bends means less friction — smoother actuation, better efficiency, and reliability that lasts.

Orbea Squidlock remote

Squidlock

Dropper and suspension control, one click away. Two levers give you the dropper post plus three shock lockout positions without lifting a hand from the bars. Compact, reliable, and compatible with Shimano or SRAM brake clamps.

Orbea Oiz racing geometry

Racing geometry

Built around an attack position that lets you ride at your limit.

A proven platform, sharpened

The Oiz refines a race platform that already worked, with precise geometry updates aimed squarely at speed, control and efficiency at the highest level — all designed around an attack position that keeps you on the front foot.

Slacker head angle

A slightly slacker front end matches the frame and suspension's extra capability, adding confidence on fast descents without dulling aggressive XC handling.

Steeper seat tube

A more forward position improves power generation and keeps the front wheel weighted on steep climbs.

Stack

One of the lowest stack heights on the market, optimised around a 120 mm fork to keep weight over the front wheel for climbing and cornering.

Orbea Oiz short chainstays

Shorter chainstays

Trimmed by 2 mm. A small change with a noticeable payoff: sharper acceleration and more agile handling. Orbea tested it across the whole roster and every rider wanted the shortest possible chainstays — even on an XL.

Orbea Oiz low stack headset spacer

Low-stack headset spacer

Drop into a lower, more aggressive position with 8 mm less stack than standard. Best suited to riders with the flexibility and control to use it — ask us at a CANNASIA bike fitting.

02 · Light without limits

The lightest Oiz frame ever built

Frame design and components are optimised for the fastest cross-country race bike overall — not simply the smallest number on the scale.

Orbea Oiz lightweight carbon frame

Lightest Oiz frame ever

Painted size M, with shock and hardware.

Low weight, high performance

The target was never lightness on its own — it was the fastest, best-performing race bike Orbea could build. Multiple carbon layups were developed and tested before the final structure emerged, balancing low weight against the stiffness, precision and ride feel elite XC demands.

In blind testing, riders consistently chose the final layup over a prototype that was nearly 50 g lighter. The best-performing frame is not always the lightest one.

Orbea Oiz improved frame construction

Improved frame construction

Removing sharp transitions and ridges lets the carbon compact more tightly, cutting surplus resin in the areas that matter. The result is less weight and more rigidity from the same structure.

Orbea Oiz frame design

Frame design

Built on a proven design philosophy, with newly refined shapes and softened transitions that deliver a lighter Oiz frame — and a stiffer one.

No-compromise construction

Every Oiz frame benefits from more advanced carbon construction: modern layups, increasingly precise manufacturing. The same approach applies across both carbon platforms — structural integrity does not depend on which one you choose.

Orbea OMX carbon

OMX carbon

Reserved for the lightest, stiffest racing frame Orbea makes — the pinnacle of their carbon fibre manufacturing. Found on the M-PRO, M-TEAM and M-LTD.

Orbea OMR carbon

OMR carbon

Orbea's second-level carbon, with all the rigidity and strength of OMX for riders who don't need the absolute lowest weight. Found on the M30, M20 and M10 — the value sweet spot in Singapore.

Lightweight OC components

Designed alongside the frame, not bolted to it

OC components are developed with the Oiz from the very start, cutting weight without giving anything back in performance.

Orbea OC integrated cockpit

Clean integrated cockpit

Integrating stem and handlebar allows a far more racing-specific product: keep the essentials, delete everything else. The result is a high-performance, lightweight cross-country cockpit.

Orbea MP11 dropper post

Race-ready dropper

The MP11 dropper offers 100 mm of travel with full control of saddle height — up, down, and infinite positions between. The clamp fits all saddle rail systems. All of it for just 404 g.

Orbea Squidlock remote

Squidlock remote

Stripped to essentials. The latest generation of Orbea's trusted Squidlock remote sheds weight while keeping lockout and dropper control precise and dependable.

03 · Built to keep you on track

Reliability is part of performance

The Oiz is built for the realities of elite XC racing — a robust frame, proven standards and carefully engineered details that hold up season after season. In Singapore's heat, humidity and afternoon downpours, that matters more than anywhere.

Rider-focused solutions

From self-sufficient riding to a perfectly tuned fit, the Oiz is designed around what riders actually need — every detail working with the next.

Integrated multitool

An 8-piece tool sits neatly in the underside of the top tube, just above the shock, held by a system developed alongside the frame. Tools stay on the bike, not in your jersey — and that saves seconds on course.

Dual bottle cage

Two bottle mounts on every frame size. Essential for long races — and for any 3-hour loop at Chestnut or Ketam when the humidity is at 90%.

Orbea Oiz dual bottle cage mounts

Two bottles. Every size.

Backpack-free riding, even in the tropics.

Refined shapes and cleaner transitions improve carbon compaction in the critical zones, producing a denser, more resistant carbon structure.

Orbea Oiz pivotless rear triangle

Pivotless triangle

The flexstay design removes the rear triangle pivot altogether — maintenance-free reliability, and one less bearing to seize in the wet.

Orbea Oiz redesigned main pivot

Redesigned main pivot

A pinch-bolt structure raises load capacity and cuts torsional loads on the bearings, guaranteeing precise alignment. Front and rear triangles connect more solidly, with less friction and smoother suspension movement.

Orbea Oiz fully sealed bearings

Fully sealed bearings

Improved sealing at the key pivots keeps contamination out. Bearing life goes up, and the suspension stays smooth and play-free. In tropical mud and grit, this is the single detail you will thank Orbea for.

Orbea Oiz forged alloy link

Forged alloy link

Forged 6061-T6 aluminium, hard anodised — strength you can rely on over the long haul.

Proven components and protective solutions keep the Oiz running smoothly in the worst conditions you can find.

Orbea SIC sealed internal cable routing

SIC system & Spinblock

Sealed Internal Cable routing runs cleanly through the headset for reliable performance over time. And when a crash happens while you're fighting for the podium, Spinblock protects the frame and paint from over-rotation.

Orbea Oiz rear post mount brakes

Rear post-mount brakes

Post mount gives you flexible setup options for modern XC. Mounting the caliper directly improves stiffness and simplifies setup — consistent, confident braking under pressure.

Orbea Oiz threaded bottom bracket

Threaded bottom bracket

Chosen purely for reliability. Less noise, simpler maintenance, impressive durability — and far easier to service when you bring it in to Frankel Avenue.

Orbea Oiz mini chainguide

Mini chainguide

Designed specifically for the Oiz, the compact chainguide delivers reliable chain retention without dragging along any unnecessary weight.
