2027 Avant
Orbea Avant · Endurance Alloy Road · Available in Singapore
Open the doors to the road
The Avant is the bike that removes your excuses. Endurance geometry that stays comfortable at hour five, clearance for 35C tyres, mounts for mudguards and a hidden Service Box. Built, fitted and serviced at CANNASIA.
The bike
A road bike built for the ride you actually do, not the one on the race calendar
Most of us are not racing. We are meeting the group at 6am, riding until the heat wins, and getting home in one piece. The Avant is designed around exactly that: a relaxed but efficient endurance position, an alloy frame that shrugs off daily use, and enough tyre clearance and mounting points to make the bike genuinely useful rather than merely fast.
Sold, built and serviced in Singapore by CANNASIA, the official Orbea distributor. Every Avant is assembled and fitted at 83 Frankel Avenue, and we are happy to tell you honestly whether it is the right bike for you — or whether you would be better served by an Orca or a Terra.
Expect the unexpected
Speed and comfort in the same frame, so a short spin can turn into an all-day ride.

Three reasons the Avant keeps getting ridden
Comfort is key
Balanced endurance geometry, an OMR carbon fork and room for properly wide tyres.
Ready for whatever
Smooth welds, internal routing and an advanced alloy frame that looks far above its price.
Practical solutions
Mudguard mounts and a built-in Service Box. Fewer reasons to leave it in the rack.
01 · Comfort is key
Comfort is not softness. It is a bike you can still ride well at hour five.
Whoever is riding it, comfort is what decides how long the ride lasts. Orbea approached the Avant's evolution from every angle that affects it — riding position, fork material, wheelbase and tyre volume — rather than simply adding padding and calling it endurance.
Comfort is key
Looked at from every perspective, then amplified.
Efficient geometry
Geometry does more for comfort than any component. A steeper seat angle paired with a longer top tube puts you in a position that is sustainable for hours but still lets you put power down when the road tilts up.
Confident descending
A slacker fork angle and a longer wheelbase add stability once the speed climbs. Fork trail is tuned per frame size, so a 47 and a 60 handle the same way instead of leaving smaller riders with twitchy steering.
OMR carbon fork
The OMR carbon fork saves meaningful weight at the front of the bike, and the carbon structure damps road vibration without giving anything away under braking or when you lean it into a corner.
Tyre clearance up to 35C
Room for tyres up to 35C, or 32C once a mudguard is fitted. On patched tarmac and expansion joints that extra volume at lower pressure is the single cheapest comfort upgrade available.
Ready for whatever
Advanced manufacturing and clever detailing, in aluminium.
02 · Ready for whatever
An alloy road bike that does not look or ride like a compromise
Aluminium has come a long way, and the Avant is a good argument for it. Careful hydroforming, smoothed welds and internal cable routing give the frame the look and the ride quality people usually associate with carbon — with the durability and the price that make it a far easier bike to leave locked outside a kopitiam.
Carbon look
Every weld on the main frame is polished back until it disappears, so the silhouette reads like a moulded carbon frame rather than a welded one.
Advanced alloy
Controlling tube shape and wall thickness across the frame lets Orbea take out weight, add compliance where you want it and add strength where you need it.
Forged bottom bracket
Cables run inside the frame, which keeps them out of the weather and lets them take the most direct line. Less friction, lighter shifting, and far less to clean after a wet ride.
03 · Practical solutions
The details that decide whether a bike actually gets used
A bike you can commute on, ride a century on and fit mudguards to in November is worth more than one that only makes sense on a dry Sunday. The Avant is built with that in mind.
Practical solutions
Fewer excuses not to get out and ride.
Multi-mount system
The mounting points take any market-standard mudguard or fender. In a city with a monsoon season and an afternoon thunderstorm habit, that is not a niche feature — it is the difference between riding in November and not.
Service Box
A made-to-measure compartment in the frame swallows a tube, CO2, tyre levers and your house keys, so the saddle bag can stay at home. Everything you need for a puncture at Lim Chu Kang, nothing flapping in the wind.
Get the perfect fit
The right position is what turns a good bike into your bike.
04 · Get the perfect fit
Configured around you, not around what was in the box
Orbea's configurator lets you choose handlebar width, stem length and crank length before the bike is even built, which means the position can be right from day one rather than after three months of swapping parts. We will take you through those choices in store, and back them up with a proper bike fitting once the bike is yours.
The RP22 stem
The component that does most of the work in dialling in an endurance position. Available in a choice of lengths and flippable between −5° and +15° of rise, so the bar height can be set where your back and neck actually want it.
- Choice of lengths to fine-tune reach
- −5° / +15° rise for a taller or lower front end
- Prepared for both mechanical and electronic shifting
- Integrated computer mount, so no clamp-on bracket

Ride it here
The most sensible road bike you can own in Singapore
We will be blunt: for most riders here, the Avant makes more sense than a race bike. Our roads are flat, hot and often wet, our rides are long rather than steep, and the surfaces are rougher than they look. Endurance geometry, 35C clearance and mudguard mounts answer all three.
East Coast Park & Changi Coast Road
Long, flat and relentless. Comfort matters more than a few watts here, and a position you can hold for three hours is worth more than an aggressive one you cannot.
Kranji, Lim Chu Kang & Neo Tiew
The classic weekend loop, and where the Service Box earns its place. Punctures out there are a long walk if you left the tube at home.
Patched tarmac and expansion joints
Clearance for 35C is not a spec-sheet flourish. Wider tyres at lower pressure smooth out the joints, add grip in the wet and cut the buzz that wears you down late in a ride.
Monsoon season
Full mudguard mounts mean the Avant keeps working through the north-east monsoon, while carbon race bikes stay on the trainer. Internal routing keeps the cables out of the weather too.
Commuting and everything else
An alloy frame you can lock up without wincing, mounts for a rack or guards, and a Service Box for the essentials. This is the road bike that gets ridden on a Tuesday, not just a Sunday.
Desaru, Bintan and the causeway runs
Rougher surfaces, longer days and less certain support. Comfort, tyre volume and durability count for far more over the causeway than outright frame weight.
